New Foundation of Hope is a nonprofit youth organization committed to helping reduce crime and create positive change in the lives of today’s youth.
Our goal is to help young people become responsible, productive citizens while encouraging them to believe in themselves and look forward to a successful future. We provide a safe and positive environment where youth can develop the skills, values, and confidence they need to make good choices and reach their full potential.
Through mentoring, educational opportunities, constructive activities, and positive community experiences, we work to keep young people off the streets and engaged in activities that promote respect, responsibility, discipline, accountability, and self-sufficiency.
We also encourage our youth to think beyond today by exploring education, career opportunities, and pathways toward a promising and successful future.
At New Foundation of Hope, we believe that when we invest in our young people, we are investing in the future of our communities.

Mission
The mission of New Foundation of Hope is to provide a safe, positive, and supportive alternative for youth ages 6–17 while helping bridge the gap between the end of the school day and the end of the workday for working parents.
We strive to create an environment where young people can learn, grow, and participate in constructive activities that promote respect, responsibility, discipline, and positive decision-making. Through mentoring, educational opportunities, and community-based programs, we help youth develop the skills and confidence they need to make responsible choices and build a successful future.
History
New Foundation of Hope, also known as NFOH, was established in October 2002 by Ronald Mason, who currently serves as its Executive Director.
Our Growth
What started as a vision in October 2002 in a building that once housed a medical office at 87th & Honore grew and eventually moved to our current location in the 8144-48 S. Kedzie Ave., which was once home to a pet shop and local alderman. The new location includes a state-of-the-art library, computer room, dance studio, and beyond.
